Tent size and space

My husband and I have a tent that might be 1ft. too long, do you think this will be a problem? I mean is there someone there measuring peoples tents? Also, are tent sites very close together, or is there adequate walking space around tents? Thank you.

Hopefully there won't be a tent Nazi out there with a measuring tape... as for my tent.... I'll need to buy a couple of more camping tickets
