Coming from San Diego Friday morning to see Eagles and Fogerty. Most of the rest of family / friends isn't coming in til Saturday from San Diego.

I'll just be pitchin a tent @ the Forum grounds and looking for those (new) friends to party with that evening. Might just stay in that tent for the weekend eventhough I've had hotel for 3 months.

But i'm also super excited about seeing Brad Paisley, Kid Rock, Little Big Town, the Zac Brown Band, and Kenny Chesney (and i actually won concert tickets from Go Country 105.1 to see Zac Brown Band open for Little Big Town on April 3rd, so i'll be seeing those two bands twice within a few weeks!! Go Country also sent me to see Kenny Chesney for the first time May 28th, 2008 when he was in Los Angeles, so much love to Go Country!!!!!)

My name is Billy, my girlfriend's name is Suzanne. We are coming from Hemet Ca. With us will be our daughter Nicki and her boyfriend Anthony (He not as into the country music scene as the rest of us so this should be interesting), my friend Steve and his girlfriend, they're from San diego. We will be there tent camping the whole weekend from Friday through Sunday night.

Really excited about going this year, I've wanted to go since the beginning but different things got in the way. We've seen Brad and Kenny. Brad is always great. I'm kinda more thrilled about seeing the smaller names; Little Big Town, Lady A, Chris Cagle, Darius Rucker, ect, but especially Miranda Lambert I love her.

Does anyone have any tips or advice for the first timers?

Just don't flaunt it...but I will tell you that some peoples coolers were checked and they were told they couldnt bring it in. JUST BE CREATIVE if that happens. I promise you, when we pulled in the first year, we had it all tucked away in our rv...but it seemed that everyone had their red cups out and were tippin em back as they were setting up camp, and it never stopped! Beer Pong was gong crazy, no one hid the fact that there was liquor.

I'm tent camping too oil_spill, we'll have to meet up! We were able to bring in a couple coolers--they didn't really glance in our car. I'm sure we got lucky though. Just don't flaunt the alcohol and you should be okay.

Yeah, don't be one of those tools that just walks in with the case of beer like its a suitcase! For the most part security was cool about the alcohol situation so just be cool and respectful and not rub it in their face and you will be good to go!! :D

last year I had a laminated sign and taped it on the back of the RV...it had my forum name, "FestivalFan", and also written was the motto for the weekend "what happens at Stagecoach, stays at Stagecoach". we had many, many people recognize the name from the forum, but more people were entertained by the motto. Not sure what my motto will be this year, may stay the same or maybe adopt a new one.. Cooters advice.."Stagecoach is a marathon, not a sprint"...or something clever. It was kind of fun seeing catchy signs on the different campsites, not only to identify other people, but to find our way back after a few too many, and in a SEA of motorhomes, they all look alike after awhile...The flags on the RV's also were good markers. This year I have my Stagecoach flag!!! yippee!

I'm not a camper kinda girl either. This year I'm going solo to elevate drama plus then I get to do/see what I want to when I want to. I already know so many SC peeps and everybody is so friendly that I know that I will meet tons more. well for Kenny Chesney i entered a contest on Go Country's website to go see Kenny perform on "The Today Show"....well that was the grand prize and i didn't win that, but i was the runner-up and the runner-up got two tickets to see him in Los Angeles in concert......i did NOT expect that so imagine my shock when i opened my mailbox and saw an envelope with Kenny tickets in it.......LeAnn Rimes was his opening act and he had Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker as his special guests......and i LOVE Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker too so i was pretty much in heaven...

and for the LBT/Zac Brown Band concert on 4/3...i was the lucky caller 25. Was at home listening to the radio and they played that "magic song" and i just thought what the heck, i'll try it (cause i was planning on buying the tickets anyway so even if i didn't win...i was still gonna go). I remember my cell phone was on my dining room table (i only have a cell phone, i don't have a land line) so apparently the time it took me to walk from my bedroom to my dining room was just enough time for me to get through and be caller 25!!!

Well, officially, think I intro'd last yr, but that was last yr!
I'm KC, I came last yr--had a large pool w/a filter, one of the cleanest pools around, until Sunday afternoon when I came back from the concert & other campers had been using it--no biggie, they didn't hurt anything, even left a couple coins in it. ha ha. I walk w/a cane, or stumble w/out.
I am also one of the "drinkers' at SC. So since I drink, I always camp. I never go anywhere w/out my best buddy "the Captain". Got caught w/a flask last yr on Sunday, but gal just laughed & said go in. Last yr I bought frozen lemonade's in the concert grounds & mixed w/my flask of Blue Raspberry Vodka--nice, cheap drink that cooled me off.
Sorry, can't remember who I met last yr, although I met some awesome people--biggest partiers I met were at Sunday Church/Gospel brunch, loved that.
I'll pay attention to the flag idea so I can spot y'all. My RV has Captain signs & AMERICAN FLAG on top, then under that is my Pirate flag w/the "Time flies when your having RUM". Boy do I see those everywhere!! Also the SC08 flag.
Not sure who's coming w/me this yr., but I do know I'll have at least 3 extra wristbands for sale for $40 each.
Looking forward to everything. I camp in the infield at Fontana NASCAR, so I'm prepared to party like last month--ha ha. Too much FUN, great people & awesome music--this is the good life.

Hi KC, well, the group camping behind us last year had a small kiddie pool..it was the best feeling to be able to put hot feet into a pool of cool water. Plenty of us used their pool, didn't know them before either, but they welcomed us over to their camp for beer pong and drinks. Unfortunately after a day or so the water was pretty dirty.
I was a Stagecoach virgin last year and had a great time with the group I was with. The best part?? meeting so many of the forum members, and remaining friends throughout the year. Parties, concerts, vacations, we've stayed connected. Many terrific friendships developed after last year and I'm sure the same will happen again this year.
I had my share of mishaps last year, too much drinking on Thursday, Ugh, I paid dearly for that night...a knee injury that required surgery, but has now allowed me to have an ADA parking spot this year. I guess I still stumble....with or without drinking.. so, I'm right there with ya...! Last year I had a laminated sign with "festivalfan" written, so it was easy to see and forum people spotted it. I like your flag! I did get a stagecoach flag last year, bet we'll see plenty of those this year.
This year I'll be camping with fun girls, and we'll be looking to have another great time. I also have a group of non forum people going this year, but it's anyone's guess if we'll all find each other! We're planning on meeting up with many of the forum members again this year, too. I'll let my "room mates" decide on flags, or other camp decorations . Being in the ADA section, we'll be the gateway to the entrance, so I'm sure we'll have a chance to meet lots of new people.

Ouch, sorry about the knee--I've had 5 major, full open filet of the knee surgeries--so far, but I'm happy to be upright & not need a "pusher" to get around--ha ha. "The Captain" helps me get around--& he makes me stumble too! I have a large pool w/a filter. You have to have a filter to make it more than a couple hrs. Last yr a truck was even filling pools for free w/the pond water! Fest people removed that driver, then went around telling/making people dump pools because the water was contaminated. gross! Prob w/my pool is 800 gallons is huge $$ & when I drain it, everyone floods! I'm not planning on bringing it this yr., although if it gets hot, I might load it & see if I can get a group to go in w/me to fill it. Alot of $$ & I spend more time at the concert than in the pool.
My story about last yr has to be told in person. I'll just say I was slipped a micky. NO, I didn't get hurt or anything bad like that, but man did I get robbed!
Anyone going to KFROG event today? Look for me, I have a cane.
