I love camping out at El Dorado I! Unfortunately, last year we couldn't make the weekend. I find $750 to be a bit outrageous for sleeping for the few nights we will be there. Hell most of the time we're inside partying and listening to music.
Is it me or is $750 excessive?

It is crazy to pay that much to sleep, but hey, people forked it out so i do not expect it to go down! My first year i was in ED2 and it was amazing. Last year we were in tent... It was fun because we made the best of it and the people that camp there are amazing, But i would not go back to tent camping. To many rules. But hey, you live and learn right? Never let it ruin an amazing weekend! ha ha.
750 is extreamly excessive... ED 2 will sell out fast so get them in 8 days... it's a third of the prices and it's were all the fun is!!!
Im buying my red cups Now!!!
SC 07 08 09 looking forward to 2010!!!!

Question about the camping for 2010-it has gone from $50 to $100. Does EACH person still need a camping pass? Under the camping information, it states that the spaces are now "huge" and you can cram as many people in as you want.
UKNOWME
10-08-2009, 08:54 AM
the way it sound you can put as many people in you space as possible. i reed somewhere on there page that wristband will be giving out when you check in but there was no number of how many you get.

IheartMillerLite
10-08-2009, 09:25 AM
So it says for ED1 you get 6 wristbands but it doesn't say anything for ED2. Just says to cram as many as you want into your RV. How can we get into ED1 to visit people over there? Yes, I'm RVing it this year. Dealing with the tent drama was SO not worth it.

Hi, rather than answer individually, I'll post this info. For those of you that have asked me about my trailer rental from last year.. I used Alberts Trailer Rentals. "Bert" is great to work with and took very good care of us who rented from him last year . He'll do the same for us this year too. His website is AlbertsRVrental.com, his phone number is 1 858 922 8626. Check out his rental units then call him for a quote. I spoke with him this morning already, so he's been updated. FUN FUN FUN !!!!!

This seems to be the cost for this year...yeah a bit amazing huh? It is going to be insane that "anyone with a festival ticket" can get into the campgrounds. There goes the neighborhood!!
Yes...they raided the Tent campers stuff. As for the RV I hadn't heard of anyone's RV raided. I was told to keep our liquor within our camping spot, but at night everyone was walking everywhere with it.

Yes in tent camping they go through everything! Cloths, coolers, bags or blankets ... everything. They even opened up my EZ-UP to make sure nothing was in it! It was crazy. You just have to be creative. Some of them were better then others. So just make sure you hide it really good so if they squeeze it or shake it it wont fall out or anything. Last year at night people just started throwing stuff over the fence.

You can fit a tent under out slide out, due to in the upper room of the 5th wheel, but yes on motorhomes, you wouldnt...or just put a tarp around the slide out and call it a tent:D

Exactly!! That is my concern...and I am being asked if there are ins/outs with our RV passes still.
I dont think this was all thought out. THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL people will be able to arrive with ALL their campers...so they better have an unlimited amount of RV camping wristbands for whomever has a festival ticket. How are they gonna prove they are actually camping and not scaverenging our campsites??????
And what about RV and Tenters...will they have in/out privelages to the festival as in the past too?
To me this just seems that the festival will allow in/outs for EVERYONE???
UKNOWME
10-09-2009, 05:41 PM
The web sit sees that there will be wristbands and only onsit campers will have in and out privelags. So I wouldn't worry about that.and yes tent campers will be allowed in to all camping areas.

But doesn't it also say that if you can fit a million people (ok exageration) people in your tent area, then you can, so long as they have a "festival" ticket??? So that means anyone can say they are tenting it or RVing it, and get a camping pass.
And this year, talk about fights...people were told they could not leave and come back even if they had an RV!!! several fights at the gates. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing.

Well, I hope so. Cuz tickets go on sale next week, and for 09 it was a cluster on the $50 "per person" tent camping and people got screwed cuz they sold out and people were not told from TM that it was not longer $50 per site, but per person. Only a very very small percentage of people attending SC come on here to read all of this.
From working with WWF over the past year, I know it can get crazy!! Believe me I know first hand, but these are issues that people need answers to asap.

if you buy a camping pass for ed 2 you are guaranteed a spot but the earlier you get there the better spot you get i go out on Thursday night and i stay till Monday morning... you don't want to try to get your RV out Sunday night concert doesn't end till like 1130 and everyone party's afterwords

All RVs, trailers & other such vehicles must be classified as a "vehicle made for sleeping" to enter RV camping. How ever if you know someone taking an RV you can put a tent in there RV spot as long as there RV is there too

We are coming from san diego. Anyone out there interested in sharing rv? We rented one the last two years and rv is definately the way to go, but with the present economic situation, would be nice to share expense of rv with some cool folks.
