Hi all. Long time no see. Just got some info that I thought you guys would be interested in.

Heard on Go Country that the lineup for Stagecoach is being announced on Friday, which got me started looking for date information.

Not sure how reliable this is but the source is a person with over 5,000 posts and nobody is questioning the validity. I'm VERY excited that Joey + Rory are playing, they were one of my favorite acts at CMA Fest this year.

I hope this isn't old news. I haven't got caught up on the many weeks I've missed here but I assumed there would be a thread about this info if it was already posted. Didn't see any new 2010 threads and this info isn't in any of the old ones so here you go... If you're going to stay in a hotel book it now!

THe only person I've even heard of is Merle Haggard. Is this all older country? I hope there are some younger (like last 20-25 years) acts this year. Thanks for the info Mr. Psycho.

GoCountry announced last night on twitter that Brooks And Dunn are going to be at Stagecoach this year. However, I went back this morning to check and the tweet was deleted. Paul Freeman was the one that wrote it so maybe he wasn't supposed to announce that yet.

WOW...I hope this rumor is correct on the line-up

B.J. Thomas was a fav of mine as a kid. "Raindrops keep fallin on my head" and my all time favorite of his is, "This guys in love with you". Did Hank Williams I'm so lonesome I could cry and Elvis sang a few of his tunes including "I just can't help believin", "It's only Love", and "Tomorrow Never Comes".

Oak Ridge Boys - burned out their 8 track of "Y'all come back saloon" and then bought it on cassette (still have).

B & D final tour :O( but a Stagecoach MUST!!!

I wonder who else? Sitting on pins and needles now waiting for Friday. Thanks for the info USC.

My brain might not be functioning to its full capacity quite yet, but the tent camping has changed....10x30 spots for $100, but says you can put as many people in your tent as you can fit and that everyone needs a *festival* ticket. Am I understanding this correct...not everyone needs a camping pass?

Fo' reeaalll? That means spots will sell out fast AND it'll be uber crowded -- more than normal. Omg...the showers! I tried looking for info, but it's too early!

I'd like to look into an RV spot, but I feel it's a waste without hookups. Half the point of that is your own shower.

No search natzi looking through Little Bit's underwear and feeling her bra.

Seriously, let's look into it. The most expensive RV site is $750 and it said you can cram as many people into it as you can, as long as they have a festival ticket too.

What about a close by hotel? Anybody thinking of going that route? Comfortable beds....showers...all that, and if you only need a festival ticket, you can get into the camping and RV area to party with everyone....I think for the price it might be the way to go!

Oh, does anyone know if it's Sat & Sun, or a 3 dayer this year?

Also a decent idea. It's 2 days -- so far.

My concern with a hotel is the lines to get in and the proximity. Trust me...I'd love a normal shower without the lines!

YOU MAY have a great point, but the late night partying at the trailor is unbeatable. From the night you pull in until the actual event, pretty priceless. Then, you paid all that money for a hotel..and..arent really in it. Best bet is to shack up with someone who does have an rv or trailor, OR...go in with a bunch of people and rent one! Just a suggestion

I believe its been confirmed as a two day event of April 24/25...But the last time it was three day it was added shortly before..so maybe as it gets closer..I HOPE=]

All good points and from NicoleErin too...are there not hotels walking distance? I loved the camping experience I had last year, but I don't know if I could do all that time with no shower. And the shower lines camping are insane, and apparently the RV's have no hook-ups? Does that mean no running water too? IDK yet. I think I'll just do whatever I'm invited into (camping, hotel, RV) and weigh out the costs. If an RV spot is $750 (outrageous!) and the rental is say $500, that's $1,250, and if it sleeps, what 6? That's a little over $200 each, that I can totally manage, kwim? Prob what you'd pay for a hotel anyhow. Although camping is cheaper, but def not as comfortable!

i was planning on camping this year but mom voted for a hotel. she loves a nice hot shower and a comfy bed- especially after the kinda partying we do at SC. ;) but we'll see nothing is in stone yet. but if they are searching campers like last year, a hotel may be the way to go at least for us. RVs are self contained they have a water tank with a pump & 2 holding tanks. Its not like showering @ home You wet down shut water off lather up rinse to save water they have trucks that can pump tanks out & refill water tank fcor a cost I think 75,00 or so

lol yes, you fill the tanks[depending on how much the trailor/rv holds] up prior to going, then thats your water for the weekend..I mean not to drink but for shower and toilets and stuff you're set without hookups

sounds good! I don't mind using the porta-potties, but the bathroom in the RV is perfect for middle of the night, etc. Plus the shower, etc! And no long lines! NICE!

Yeah, my rig holds 150 gls of water...i have dry docked in Glamis for a week with 3 girls, and 4 boys, and never ran out of water, showers and all...just do a whore shower, and you will be fine. Or just refill with the water truck.

This year (like last year) I will have an rv with only 40 gls of water (damn upgraded RV's used to hookups--spoiled!!) so we do use the showers there anyway.

every year i say i'm gonna find you guys in the campgrounds.... but i have yet to actually get off my arse, get a wristband, and do it. why can't they just let me in?!? "ummm...excuse me... tee hee... flash... flash... i know Kymery, can you just let me in?" LOL

lol yes, you fill the tanks[depending on how much the trailor/rv holds] up prior to going, then thats your water for the weekend..I mean not to drink but for shower and toilets and stuff you're set without hookups

My RV has about a 100 gallon water tank we had 12 people @ our site some of them use the camp showers but thw restroom was used a lot I still had water Monday. They have a truck that You can buy more water if needed

Oh!!!! Good to know! I know nothing about RVing, lmao! Ok, no problem and if we need to buy more water we can all pitch in, no biggie. SWEET!
Then....can somebody tell me the big difference between ED1 and ED2 other than the $500??? I thought it was water hook-ups, but that seems silly now for $500....

ED1 is closer to concert. ED2 is the party zone though both seemed to be rocking. I can run my generator 3 days for about $100. In my opinion save the 500 for booze

So what is the difference in distance then? I think my mom is gonna whine, lol. Is it farther from the front of the venue than camping was?

EDII is a hike, not a bad one, but after walking around all day in the venue, I had to pull off my boots. If I were to do EDII again, i would bring a bike. Look at the map, it is on the other side of EDI and IF you get lucky you are on the close end of edII, like I was, just pray you dont arrive when they slap you in the back of EDII, now that would be a real hike. Anyone want to guess...maybe 1/2 mile from inside venue to beginning of EDII?

Well judge it by this: you could easily WALK a mile in 15-20 minutes. So half a mile would be about a 7-10 minute walk....

And I thought the trip to the camprgrounds was a hike, so I'm assuming it's much farther than that??

If we just mentally prepare ourselves for the experience it won't be so bad. One down side to the weekend. I can live with that. I can sit down when I get inside, I can sit down when I get to the RV. Therefore I can deal with a hike.

Yeah, I'm just worried about my mom. Not a deal breaker whatsoever, just gotta figure out something for her. CAN you bring a bicycle? Is there a place to lock one up at the venue before you go in?

You can bring bicycles but it's fine parking/securing it at your own risk. No designated area.

I remember heading over to ED2 in 2008....(I don't think I knew anyone in it last year) to visit Miss Kymery. It was quite a trek from the FORUM - but as far as ED2 to venue... I don't personally think it'd be FARTHER than from the FORUM to the venue? Possibly around the same, but I really doubt further.

CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Ok, if that's the case, it's not TOO bad. It was a little trek from the Forum, but nothin bad at all. If it's comparable to that, forget a bike, lol. My mom can make it too! :D

Looking at the map again - I may be wrong? Help? Kymery!? :) But I don't think that map is to scale?

I'm thinking it's pretty equiv. from the Form-->Venue distance. Will mom be drinking with us? If so, she won't care either way. :D

If you get in line right when they open, the showers weren't too bad. Didn't wAit more than 15 minutes last year.

Getting up with the sun just to shower though....not the most fun.
