Has anyone here camped in the International? I read that it is for families. We will be bringing two kids. I am wondering if it is "too quiet" there. I still want to have a good time and was not sure if this was the place for us. :p

I am bringing my kids too. My bigger concern about International was the distance to the venue! The main attraction of camping there for me is the in-and-out ability of campers that day-tickets do not have. I dont want to walk 2 miles back to the RV when the kids want to take a break (or I want a beer that is not $8)

that is a big concern. If we go it's with our 2 kids. We aren't even pretending to make the walk to the family area with them. With the heat and late nights they were pretty worn out just doing the walks back and forth to ED1 over the weekend. If I can't sell enough blood between now and april for ED1 we aren't going.

Ok, so it looks like ED1 is the place for us. Thanks for the information! I did not think about how far the walk would be.

When you look at the size of those buildings compared to the size of those blocks, you can see really how FAR it is from the venue to the camping and parking on the far left (west)

Hey, thanks! This really shows how far it is. Last year, we just went for the day. Camping will be a lot more fun!

Yes even the polo ponies are ponied up to the Fields not walked like I saw this morning what a great sight.Wish I had my camera...
Everything is far apart.Even that walk up to the venue from the parking lot for handicap is quite a walk....
So this is why we started the walking challenge thread.Guess we will bring that back soon.
:DYA Gotta get ready...

year before last we tent camped fairly close to what is now international. we avoided the walk by riding our bikes through the rv's to the gate... then locked em up.

We camped in International last year... it says "family campground" but that doesn't mean anything. Sure it's alot quieter than ED1 and ED2 but it's still ALOT of fun. The walk from International to the Venue isn't that great but it doesn't matter, as long as you are there at SC and ready to have fun! That's the main thing : )
