2012 Food & Beverages

Once again, we'll bring top-notch cuisine to all festival attendees.  Whatever your taste, there is something for everyone.  There will be a huge variety of food, all with an emphasis on local, fresh ingredients and served on compostable service-ware.  The Kansas City Barbecue Society BBQ Contest is happening again with 30 professional teams "pitted" against each other for the top spot.  Plus, we'll have lots and lots of BBQ vendors and a pancake breakfast in the campgrounds.

INSIDE VENUE

PRIMARY FOOD AREA
As you look at the Mane Stage, located to the left, this area still has the finest food the Coachella Valley has to offer from local restaurants such as Jackelope Ranch, Las Casuelas Quinta, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Fisherman’s Market & Grill to well-known vendors like Spicy Pie and Waffleman Ice Cream Sandwiches and lots & lots of the best BBQ.  Vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten-free options are also available.

KANSAS CITY BBQ SOCIETY SANTIONED BBQ CONTEST
30 national BBQ teams will be cooking 24/7 in the hopes of being picked as Grand Champion of this KCBS Sanctioned Contest.  Located in The Terrace, this area will feature a best BBQ booth contest, cooking demonstrations and a new beer area to wash down your BBQ.  You can also try samples of award winning BBQ from championship teams.

THE CANTINA RESTAURANT
Sit down and enjoy brunch and Bloody Marys, at the air-conditioned Cantina Restaurant located in the lobby of the festival.  The wait-staff at the Cantina is ready to feed your need for breakfast all day from 11am – 10pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with vegetarian options available.  The Cantina also serves a full bar and a live feed of the festival.

FULL BARS
Full Bars are located under the peaked tents, to the left as you walk into the festival.  You can also get single spirit cocktails in all of the beer areas, as well as a huge variety of beers in the Micro-Brew tent next to the right of the Mane Stage.

IN THE CAMPGROUNDS

MAIN FOOD ROW
Food vendors of nearly every type will be on hand to serve you everything from early morning hot coffee & breakfast to late night Pink’s Hot Dogs or a slice of Spicy Pie.  Nearly every type of food will be available (including vegetarian) and service will start as early as Thursday and won’t stop until you leave the campgrounds on Monday.

LION'S CLUB PANCAKE BREAKFAST
Support the local Lion's Club and Boy Scouts by joining them at the Clubhouse in the campgrounds (in Eldorado 1) for a pancake breakfast happening 7am – 2pm.
